Open Media Vault → Create a PIN → Confirm PIN → Set a Security Question.
How do I change my lock type?
Open Media Vault → Settings → Choose PIN or Pattern.
How do I change my PIN?
Open Media Vault → Settings → Change PIN → Set New PIN.
How do I recover access if I forget my PIN?
On the Login Screen → Tap "Forgot PIN" → Answer your Security Question → Create a New PIN.
Where are my protected files stored?
Your protected files remain stored locally on your device and are managed through Media Vault.

PERMISSIONS
Media Vault requires the following permissions to provide its core functionality:
★ Manage External Storage - Required to import, organize, protect, and manage photos, videos, and files stored on your device.
★ Camera - Required for optional intruder photo capture after failed unlock attempts.
★ Biometric Authentication - Required for Fingerprint unlock.
★ Device Administrator (Optional) - Used for the optional app protection feature. When enabled by the user, it helps prevent accidental removal of Media Vault. Users can disable this feature at any time from Media Vault settings before uninstalling the app.
